These terms govern your use of Oropus at oropus.com and www.oropus.com, including the voice studio, previews, downloads and related features. Oropus is operated by the Oropus team. Contact: contact.satwara@gmail.com. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using it.
1. Eligibility and your responsibilities
You must have the legal capacity and any permission required under the laws that apply to you. If you use Oropus for a business or another person, you must be authorized to do so. You are responsible for the scripts you submit, the output you publish, and compliance with applicable laws and platform rules.
2. What Oropus provides
Oropus converts text into synthetic speech and provides features such as voice previews, audio downloads, captions and audio merging. Voice availability, character limits, queue capacity and supported formats can change. Speech generation relies on external providers and may be delayed, interrupted or unavailable. We do not promise uninterrupted service, a particular pronunciation or a fixed completion time.
3. Your content and generated audio
You retain any rights you have in your scripts. You grant the permission needed to process those scripts and provide the requested audio, captions and downloads. You must own or have permission to use the submitted material. Oropus does not claim ownership of your original scripts.
You may use output in lawful personal or commercial projects, subject to your rights in the underlying content, applicable provider terms and any restrictions on the selected voice. Oropus cannot grant rights owned by someone else or guarantee that generated output qualifies for copyright protection. A synthetic voice does not imply an endorsement by a real person. Review audio and captions before publishing.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Oropus for fraud, deceptive impersonation, unlawful harassment, threats, exploitation, infringement, or content prohibited by applicable law. Do not represent synthetic audio as an authentic recording of a person without permission. Do not bypass security checks or rate limits, overload the service, probe accounts without authorization, or distribute malware. We may restrict requests or access to protect users and service availability.
5. Accounts and security
Where accounts are available, provide accurate information and protect your credentials. You are responsible for authorized activity under your account. Contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend access for abuse or security reasons, subject to any rights required by law.
6. Temporary files and downloads
Public studio recordings are designed to be available for approximately one hour, after which access expires and cleanup runs. Cleanup may be delayed by an outage. Download files you want to keep. This temporary audio policy does not apply to contact messages, newsletter records, account records or public preview clips. See the Privacy Policy for details.
7. Optional support contributions
Support through Buy Me a Coffee is voluntary and processed by that service and its payment providers. It does not buy priority generation, guaranteed uptime or additional rights unless an offer expressly says so. Currency, fees, receipts and refund arrangements are governed by the payment flow and applicable law. We do not represent contributions as tax-deductible charitable donations.
8. Third-party services
External speech, security, hosting, email and payment providers have their own terms and policies. Links and widgets do not make Oropus responsible for their independent services. Provider changes may affect features.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available, without a promise of accuracy, suitability or uninterrupted availability. We are not responsible for losses caused by unreviewed output, missed downloads or your misuse of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Changes, suspension and disputes
We may update these terms and features. The effective date identifies the current version; material changes will be explained where appropriate. We may stop or restrict abusive activity. If a dispute arises, contact us first with the relevant details so we can try to resolve it. Applicable mandatory laws and consumer protections continue to apply.
